Shout Out!

January 15, 2011

Would just like to say, I really dig Stampin’ Stuff. They have fantastic products and wonderful customer service. Check ’em out!

Also, check out their blog, right here: http://stampinstuff.blogspot.com/ Updated regularly with awesome new items and some lovely inspiration.

These little babies are hot off my metal bench:

They are both made from sterling silver; the bird pendant is on sterling chain and the tiny flower earrings are on 3mm sterling ball studs.

As far as my personal challenge goes, I’ve been making stuff regularly which is good! Just haven’t been photographing them. I’ll try and get some snaps this week and upload them for all to see.

Finally updating

April 21, 2010

I’ve been feeling somewhat less than motivated recently, as I’m sure can be told by the lack of updates. I have been pottering in my studio, and have been making things, just not enjoying it as much. Some days it can be a real struggle to get myself up there, and often when I have forced myself to make things I’ve been less than impressed with the results. That’s not to say I’m unhappy with what I’ve been making – some of the things I’ve made I’m quite happy with and will be adding to my website in the near future. It’s more along the lines of not really making what I want to make. I’ve been having some issues with my metal pieces not soldering properly and wanting to tear my hair out in frustration, and it seems that when I sit at my metal working bench all of my inspiration disappears. I’m also getting irritated at not having the materials and tools that I need to progress certain aspects of my jewellery, and not having the available cash to buy them. It’s a shame that the things I need cost so much money, when they’d certainly make my life a whole lot easier and more fun.

So, I’ve decided to set myself a small challenge. I’m going to aim to make – that is, start and finish – something every day for the next two weeks. Whether it be a metal piece, beaded piece or a resin piece. I can’t promise I’ll photograph, edit and upload each new piece for each day but I will try my best.

Wish me luck!

Launched!

February 17, 2010

The new Infectious Designs website has been launched, and boy does it look good! Thanks go to Tim for doing all of the hard work and for making it as lovely as it is.

There is now a shopping cart to make ordering easy, and other pretty functions as well.

Check it out!

This is something new I’ve been working on – cutting pendants out of old vinyl records. They’re not available for sale just yet, but hopefully will be soon. If you really want one sooner rather than later, contact me and we can organise something 🙂

Temporary Website

January 20, 2010

I’ve made up a very basic, temporary website while my new pretty one gets worked on, as there are still a few issues with it. Basically it’s just a catalogue of my designs and their prices, just in case you want to order anything.

I will be holding a competition soon, for those who have become fans of Infectious Designs on Facebook.

The date of the competition will be announced within the next few days, so become a fan and get ready!

New Jewellery!

January 12, 2010

I’ve finally gotten around to photographing most of my new necklaces and pendants. So here’s a preview of some of them! The rest can be seen on the Infectious Designs Facebook page.

Happy New Year

January 1, 2010

Wishing you all a very happy new year, from Infectious Designs!

All the best for 2010.

Infectious Facebook

December 16, 2009

I have uploaded a whole bunch of photos of my jewellery to my Infectious Designs facebook page. You can find it at www.facebook.com/infectiousdesigns.

Hopefully in the new year the website will be up and running, unfortunately there are still some issues to be resolved with the new shopping cart. As always, I’m still taking custom orders, just contact me via email (infectiousdesigns@gmail.com).

I’ve been working on my new ranges and am very pleased with how they’re turning out. Look out for lots of lace, resin and cute things!

Gift for Sam

November 1, 2009

Now that she’s received the parcel, I can post the pictures of what I made for my good friend Samantha.

It’s one of my graf inspired name pieces, this time a cuff (similar to the sars one I made for myself). Thanks to Morgan for the artwork!
